Genius Hour Ted Talk

Over the past 10 weeks, I have been immersed in my Genius Hour project. My Genius Hour focused on implementing video games into the classroom to make learning curriculum content more fun and engaging. I have learned a tremendous amount through my Genius Hour, both about myself as an individual and also as a future educator. For my TedTalk, I decided to use one of the tools that I was introduced to during my experience in Tech class. Unfortunately, the tool to record my voice was being faulty at the time, so I compensated for my lack of voice with more detailed text outlining what I have learned. Genius Hour is a great way to encourage students to learn about something that they are passionate about. When students have interest in what they are learning, amazing things can happen! I cannot wait to implement this activity in my future classroom and enable my students to take part in their own learning.
